Resetting a password

Note: Password resets are disabled for (Single Sign-On) SSO users.
SSO password resets should be handled through the SSO administrator outside the BetterExaminations application


Users with a Role that has "Manage organisation settings" enabled can reset passwords on a user's behalf. If you're unsure whether your Role has this setting enabled you can check in the Role Permissions section of the Edit User modal:

In Manage User page select the Actions button and from the dropdown select Reset Password:

The following confirmation screen will appear:

When the Reset password button has been selected an email will be sent to the User and a success notification will appear in the bottom left of the screen:

The user will receive an email with instructions on resetting their password:
