You can add a ruler and /or a protractor to an exam question to aid students.

Protractor

When the Protractor is selected the examiner can edit the default settings:

By default, the Protractor will appear inline. When the "Button" option is selected, the Protractor's visibility can be toggled:

"Show rotate icon" displayed the yellow arrow icon indicating to the student that the tool can be rotated. This is enabled by default.

Ruler

The Ruler icon can be configured similarly.
